Xeptagon began in 2019 as a specialised engineering and research team supporting high-end fintech and digital governance projects led by professors from globally recognised universities, including the National University of Singapore (NUS) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU). From the outset, our ambition was to build technology that strengthens climate action, enhances transparent global governance, and enables institutions to operate with trust and accountability.
Today, Xeptagon works with governments, regulators, enterprises and international organisations across Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, Norway, Hungary, Vietnam, Kenya, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, South Korea and beyond. Our leadership team includes world-renowned professionals educated from globally renowned educational institutions with decades of industry experience working for globally renowned organizations developing state-of-the-art software solutions.
Tuan received his doctorate from Harvard Business School and is an undergraduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Business School and was previously an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
His expertise covers various industries including fintech, retail and e-commerce, social media, technology and consumer products, and education. He has over 20 years of combined experience and has consulted major multinationals such as Singapore Airlines, Changi Airport, Alibaba, Singtel etc.
Sapumal holds a doctorate in Data Science from the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS). Sapumal has also researched with the National Institute of Informatics (NII), Tokyo, Japan.
Sapumal brings over 15 years of experience in Data Science, FinTech and Artificial Intelligence. Prior to pursuing his PhD, Sapumal worked as a Specialist Engineer at LSEG Technology, the electronic trading platform development arm of the London Stock Exchange Group. Sapumal is also a consultant to several organizations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in New York where he acts as the Developer Consultant for climate and data-related systems development.
With 15 years of experience in the FinTech industry, Palinda brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the company. An engineering graduate of the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka, Palinda's career includes significant achievements such as the development of low latency exchange software products at LSEG Technologies. As an initial member of Ustocktrade LLC, a US brokerage startup, Palinda played a crucial role in creating an Alternative Trading System for the retail market and developing a blockchain-based identity product for KYC.
Palinda is an accomplished software architect with extensive experience in designing and developing highly scalable, low-latency distributed systems, as well as data warehousing, visualization, and blockchain applications. Additionally, Palinda has served as a development consultant for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in New York and collaborates with multiple universities to provide technological expertise.
Irandi brings over 13 years of experience in the Actuarial, Insuretech and Fintech fields. She is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK, a student member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFOA) UK.
Previously she worked as an Actuarial Consultant at NMG Consulting, a multinational company that provides Actuarial, Financial and Strategy consulting to General Insurance Companies. She was involved in policy liability valuations, financial and capital projections, data analytics and product pricing for General Insurance & Reinsurance companies and Takaful operators.

We also took part in COP30, contributing to global discussions on Article 6 implementation, climate finance and digital market infrastructure. Our presence at climate and technology platforms highlights Xeptagon’s role in shaping the digital foundations of emerging climate markets. Xeptagon was selected as a finalist in the AsiaBerlin Summit 2022 Start-up Pitching Competition, the flagship event of the year-long AsiaBerlin programme fostering technological collaboration between Asia and Europe.

Xeptagon has been awarded the contract to develop the National Carbon Registry for the Government of Zimbabwe. The implementation of the Registry is done with the UNDP Country Office. The registry will track issued carbon credits, enabling Zimbabwe to trade carbon credits more effectively while assisting in securing finance for climate change mitigation activities.
