We manage the impacts of our office operations and our software development activities — including energy, water, waste, e-waste, procurement, travel and cloud services — through an environmental management system aligned with ISO 14001:2015.
Xeptagon (Pvt) Ltd provides design, development, deployment and support services for customized software solutions. Recognizing the nature, scale and environmental impacts of our office-based, technology-enabled and project-delivery activities, we are committed to operating responsibly, protecting the environment and continually improving our environmental performance.
Protecting the environment. We prevent pollution, use natural resources responsibly, reduce waste, support climate-change mitigation and adaptation, and protect biodiversity and ecosystems where relevant to our operations and influence.
Using resources efficiently. We monitor and reduce our electricity, water, paper and material consumption, and encourage digital processes, efficient equipment, responsible cloud usage and low-impact working practices.
Preventing and controlling pollution. We segregate, store safely and responsibly dispose of or recycle general waste, e-waste, batteries, lamps, printer cartridges and other special waste, and we maintain controls over chemicals, refrigerants and outsourced services.
Applying lifecycle thinking. We consider environmental impact when selecting, purchasing, using, maintaining, repairing and disposing of IT equipment, office materials and services — and when designing, developing, deploying and supporting customized software solutions.
Addressing climate change. We consider climate-related risks and opportunities, reduce greenhouse-gas emissions associated with electricity, cloud services, commuting and business travel, and strengthen our operational resilience.
Fulfilling our compliance obligations. We meet applicable environmental legal requirements and other requirements adopted from customers, contracts, landlords, certification arrangements and relevant interested parties.
Working with our providers. We communicate environmental requirements to our employees, suppliers, contractors, recyclers, landlords, cloud providers and other business partners, and evaluate their performance where appropriate.
Setting measurable objectives. We establish objectives and improvement programmes for significant aspects including energy, water, paper, waste, travel, procurement, equipment lifecycle and environmental awareness, with defined responsibilities, resources and timeframes.
Building competence and participation. We support environmental awareness, training, consultation and communication, and give our people real opportunities to contribute to environmental improvement and to report incidents or concerns.
Continually improving. We improve our environmental management system and our performance through monitoring, analysis, audits, corrective action, management review, innovation and periodic review of this policy.
This policy provides the framework for setting and reviewing our environmental objectives. It applies to our activities, our people and our outsourced processes, and is available to anyone who requests it.
